"Always keep an eye up when travelling the Amar'Kash, and never travel alone. They prey especially on the lonely ones, easier target, I guess. Felicine always attack from above, you might think you've seen one ahead of you, and maybe you have, but it's never out there to attack you. It's only there to distract you. Your eye's already focused on it and you can't see its friend until it's already on top of you, literally."
- Keeneye Morrow Scout, advising rookie visitors to the Amar'Kash
A vicious yet intelligent race, the Felicine resemble a humanoid version of the big cats that occupy the Amar'Kash, such as the Puma or the Jaguar. Their homes within the trees make finding out their history challenging. It is believed they are an older race, more in tune with the magic of the world than others, however the Felicine retain a knowledge of their ways that betrays their ancient heritage. Many unknowing wanderers in Felicine territory have been known to receive bloody and unpleasant deaths at the claws of their prowling predators.
Bipedal humanoids covered in fur. Whilst not innately strong, the Felicine are more agile than most races and can use their tail for balance. It is also speculated that the Felicine use their tails as a form of communication, however the exact language has yet to be deciphered.
Felicine are mammals, with a single mother being capable of birthing a litter of kittens.
The average Felicine child will take between 4-7 years to fully mature, in that time their fangs will develop and it will be the responsibility of the parents to educate it in the hunt. Felicine are also known to be educated in military tactics, however it's still unknown in how this is taught given the race's feral nature.
The Felicine are seen around the jungles to the north, often making their homes in the trees, however ground based settlements belonging to them have been found. They are known to pounce from the trees onto often unsuspecting prey before returning to the safety of the trees.
Carnivorous in nature, the Felicine hunt for their meals, feasting on what they can before disregarding the carcass to have any remaining meat picked by lesser beings.
Felicine are known to hibernate throughout the winter period, making travel through their territory safer that time of year, however their sleeps are known to be interrupted with vicious pangs of hunger, where their feriocity is seemingly unparalleled as they seek to sate their appetites. Felicine are also known to shed their winter fur when the hotter months take hold.
