"It's a harsh and unforgiving place. But under the Azdari flats there's a whole host of valuable resources just waiting to be taken."

The Azdari flats are a barren landscape of rock and sand, punctuated by gaping ravines, sudden dangerous precipices and vast cave networks. The surface of the Azdari flats is not as bland as it may seem, however; it is pocked and broken up by vast crystalline structures that seem to grow from the hard earth like plants and trees. These crystals take many shapes and forms as they sprout, and their growth is speculated to be linked to the Grottine that still roam beneath the surface. Whether these growths are coming from deceased Grottine, or are a by-product of their existence beneath the surface of Azylð, no one knows.

Geography

A flat area of terrain leading to from mountains to the east, to sea cliffs at the east. The land is pocked with sudden drops, ravines and filled with underground cave systems. The most noticeable feature about the Azdari flats are the crystalline structures that sprout from the ground like plants.

Fauna & Flora

The Azdari flats are filled with all kinds of small reptiles, the scurry from between rocks on the prowl for a number of insects that dwell in the area. Beneath the surface a number of larger species of bats can be found dwelling in the vast cave networks. Plant life exists in small ways, mostly brush and weeds that manage to grow their way through the cracked surface of the ground, these are overshadowed by the crystals however. And of course within the cave systems the feral Grottine can be found dwelling in the dark.

Natural Resources

Beneath the surface there is a multitude of minerals and resources, gold and iron are in abundance as well as the crystals on the surface, as well as the ones found within the Grottine. Though the crystals found within the Grottine manage to hold their magic ability after harvest, the surface crystals quickly lose any magic they may have held while growing.
